Shouldn't the UK archive community also make representations to HM Government about direct financial support to try to save what remains following the destruction of the Iraq National Library and Archive. As a belligerent nation, it would seem reasonable to suggest that we have a national responsibility to step in with funding to support any conservation/salvage that is possible.
