Vacancy - Registrar of the SoA Training Scheme for Archive Conservators

Are you keen to enable the next generation of conservators to develop their
skills and qualifications?
Do you enjoy establishing and maintaining your links with other
conservators and archive professionals?
Does your employer value raising the profile of your workplace in the wider
archive world?
Does your CPD lack direction?

Becoming Registrar of the Society of Archivist's Training Scheme for
Conservators is the ideal way to solve all of the above - especially as
training can now be offered in modules, enabling the participation of
students from a wider range of employment and training backgrounds.

This voluntary post involves:

- Registering new trainees
- Liaising between trainees, training offices, instructors and instructing
offices
- Organizing trainee meetings and training weeks
- Arranging the trainee's final exam and assessment · Attending meetings of
the training sub committees, etc

You would need to be able to attend regular meetings, be a good
administrator, and most important of all, enjoy communicating and working
with trainees and instructors.
