Calling contributing authors to write for the Encyclopedia of the World’s Minorities, to be published by Routledge in December 2004. The Encyclopedia will appear in three volumes containing over 600 entries arranged alphabetically, each signed by its author. We are seeking to produce a work of reference that exhibits the highest standards of scholarly research and theoretical sophistication, offers a history and context for each minority and concept covered, and supplies useful demographic data.
This Encyclopedia is intended for
use by teachers and students in related fields, as well as interested general
readers. It is our goal to provide up-to-date and comprehensive coverage of the
field in a manner as accessible as possible.
Available articles range from 500 to 5000 in word length. Our upcoming production schedule requires that we offer a deadline of Monday, January 19. We offer an honorarium of $50-$200 per article or the option to receive a complimentary copy of the Encyclopedia. You can find a complete list of unassigned entries at the bottom of this posting. Please email responses to this posting to [log in to unmask] with your CV attached. Should you agree to contribute, we will mail you a contributor agreement for your signature. We can also send you the scope descriptions, style guidelines, and sample articles via email. We will assign articles on a first come, first serve basis. If you have any questions please let us know. If you are unable to participate, we would welcome your suggestions of other outstanding academics or scholars as potential contributors.
We look forward to hearing from you and to adding your name to our list of distinguished contributors.
Regards,
