Helen,
We issue a draft exam timetable and give departments a week to respond. The
majority of responses can usually be accommodated if returned by the
deadline, after this there is not enough time to do major changes before
publishing the final version.

Exam timetable requests are submitted by departments in November to guide
the scheduling process.

Problems encountered include co-scheduled exams that we have not been told
about, module code changes, timing of papers and exams that do not need to
be scheduled. The usual things!
