Dear All (Usual cross posting apologies) I am getting reports from a number of places of problems being faced by students on non-standard academic years - usually where courses start in January / February (mid way through the year) or April. Many of the problems are down to Local Authorities insisting that the student should receive a partial assessment between their start date and the end of the "standard" academic year and a new assessment from September onwards, when they are part-way through an academic year. I'd be grateful if colleagues could provide examples, if you have any in your respective institutions, of this happening. Please email me off-list at [log in to unmask] with details of: The institution Course Academic year dates LEAs concerned Speedy replies would be very welcome!
