The main aim of the post is to ensure that effective channels of communication with minority ethnic staff and students are developed and maintained in line with our Race Equality Policy and Action Plan. You will plan and carry out consultation, liaising with various student and staff associations, unions and services, to ensure contact with a wide range of people at all levels and from a variety of cultural backgrounds. You will also arrange publicity, meetings and devise and send out questionnaires. It is essential you are able to demonstrate commitment to equal opportunities and awareness of the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000. You must also have experience of conducting interviews and/or focus groups as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The post is available full-time for 3 months, half-time for 6 months, or equivalent (work pattern negotiable). Salary will be pro rata to £18,265 - £23,296 p.a. This is a re-advertisement.
