The guide and leaflet that we are sending out today address this issue, in a
suggestive and indicative way.

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to enquire what universities are doing in relation to time off
in addition to Christmas and Easter, for those staff who practice their
faith. Are there any universities that allow additional time off? If so,
how is this managed? Would these staff members also get Christmas and
Easter holidays? Does your University close between Christmas and New Year?
If individuals are given additional days off, how is the issue of equality
dealt with under the RRAA's duty to promote good relations between people of
different racial groups?

This information would be useful as we, at Loughborough University, have a
working party to address these issues and were wondering what the general
consensus is.

Regards.
Kashmir
