Does anyone have information and / or experience of measuring U&E or FBC on bone marrow aspirate. This arose on a child with severe septic shock where the clinicians could not get iv access. From somewhere they had the understanding that U&E and FBC could be done on such samples. The analyses were not performed but now we, and they, would like to know if this is feasible (and what would the U&E results mean). Many thanks Angela Parnham Wansbeck General Hospital Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust ------ACB discussion List Information-------- This is an open discussion list for the academic and clinical community working in clinical biochemistry.
