Dear Shirley,

Current guidelines (from our virologist) state that once a person has a full course, titre >100miu/ml & a 5 year booster they do not require further boosters as they have made a 'memory cell'.

I am trying to find out if any NHS OH dept. routinely give Hepatitis B booster following a needlestick injury to staff who have already had a course of three and a five year booster. If it is five years post last booster would you give another following a needle stick injury. If yes, where did you get the evidence from.
