Thanks for your message about race-- (a) Race is a valid biological , and particularly pyschological behavior cconcept (b) There is a v strong IQ genetic component - see over 1000 references in Jensen"The g factor" This is an imporant facto in public policy- e.g. the voters in Calif, Oregon, Texas and (shortly) Michigan and other prudent states have decided that admission to (State) Univ, and State hiring/contracting should be race-free. So has Gov Schwarzenegger. The above explains why Blacks and Hispanics will be underrepresented. Sandra O'Connor et al on the Supreme court have made a stupid decision that by giving racial bias to blacks, - and waiting 25 years - that things will somehow get better. They wont. O'Connor et al are simply ignorant. The plaintiff lawyers were incompetent in not calling expert testimony to forestall her dumb decision. Statisticians should be in the forefront of correcting such ignorance. AS to being nasty-- Your daughter has been rejected at State U in favor of a Black, Hispanic, or illegal ' immigrant' scoring several hundred points less.
