I have some booklets on the 2003 Telegraph Young Science Writers that I can send out to those interested or there's information at www.science-writer.co.uk The BA Media Fellowships will also be running again this year. The fellowships provide placements working with a national press, broadcast or internet journalist. During placements of between 3 and 8 weeks fellows learn to work within the conditions and constraints of the media to produce accurate and well informed pieces about developments in science. After their placements fellows are better equipped to communicate their research and expertise to the public and their colleagues. Further information at www.the-ba.net Online application for the 2003 scheme will open at the end of the month so I will e-mail the list when this facility is online. -----Original Message----- From: Michael Kenward [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: 19 February 2003 12:31 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [PSCI-COM] Writing prizes for scientists Does anyone know of any prizes for that scientists with a hankering to write? The Telegraph seems to be in business still, but I can't see if the MRC, THES or Wellcome Trust still run their competitions.
