Hi Everyone, Just to let you know that the laste information on the Fermor Flagship Meeting - "Wolrd Class Mineral Deposits & Earth Evolution" - is now available at the following address: http://www.earth.cf.ac.uk/news/Fermor-2nd.htm The meeting will feature sessions on what mineral deposits can reveal about: the evolution of the atmosphere and hydrosphere; tectonic evolution through Earth history; the origin and development of life; impacts and catastrophic events. As well as sessions devoted to new techniques for the study of mineralization, and new exploration models for super giant ore deposits. Hardcopy abstract deadline: 23rd may 2003 Electronic abstract deadline: 30th May 2003 It's shaping up as a really exciting meeting, with some outstanding presentations already being offered, and the various sessions are beginning to fill up quickly. For those of you planning to submit something, I would strongly encourage you to contact the relevant session organiser to find out what the current state of play is. Oral presentation slots will be at a premium so it pays to get your abstracts in as early as possible. I look ofrward to seeing as many of you are possible in Cardiff for the Fermor this summer.
