Hi All
I have today received an enquiry from our Housing Department. The Police
have faxed one of the local housing offices stating that they are
investigating vandalism in a specific street in a town. They are requesting
that we disclose the names of tenants in that specific street who rent from
the Council as well as the names of their children (which information we do
hold).

I have replied that they should not do this as it is basically a fishing
expedition. Innocent peoples' names will appear on this list and am not
happy with it at all. Does investigation of crime override this and are we
obligedto disclose?

Your views would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Doreen Broom
