With reference to Russell's query, perhaps the issue here is that in
general there needs to be improved and more attractive signage in libraries
to assist users in locating resources, and also some user education. Dewey
is perfectly adequate and I don't think it needs to be manipulated in any
way. Classification numbers suffice, otherwise there could be a plethora of
colours, if you go down the route of using coloured dots, and this could be
equally confusing.
Do any library authorities have materials available for training children
in the location and use of resources in public libraries, and the use of CD-
ROMS and the Internet?
