Using Video in Education: three free workshops ( 12 Nov, 21 Jan, 11 Feb)

The aim of each workshop is to explore the the effective use of video in teaching and learning, as well as future applications. Simple production methods, the use of off-air and other ready sources, pedagogy in videoconferencing, lessons from past research, will all be covered.  

* Presentation: Effectiveness of video in teaching and learning - a review.

* Parallel sessions: opportunity to examine and discuss three different case studies and demonstrations.

* Seminar: New developments in access and use of video

The workshop will also disseminate outcomes of the DIVERSE TLTP project in some of the case studies and discussions of the use of video.  The workshops are supported by the LTSN Generic Centre and the Learning Technology Support Service.

There is no charge, and coffee, tea and lunch will be provided.

Who should attend?  Those involved with learning and teaching and/or ICT, including academics, library staff, learning technologists, teaching and learning services, student learning support and technicians.
