seynt Bernard, "Sanguis Christi clavus est paradisi". The
blode of Crist is the key of paradys.' I have been unable
to trace this quotation in the writings of St Bernard.
Does anyone recognize this quotation? Is it indeed from St
Bernard, or is it from another source?

Saint Bernard may have used this quote somewhere, but its
origin is in Jerome, Letter 129, 2. The same idea, but in
different words, is expressed in Tertullian's _De anima_
55: "Tota paradisi clavis tuus sanguis est."
