Position: Assistant Consultant, Environmental Policy/Strategy Location: London Salary: £neg An outstanding opportunity has arisen within our client, a major international multi-disciplinary consultancy, for a bright, articulate assistant consultant to join its existing Environmental Policy/Strategy team within London. Working within a team of 14, you will be required to assist with the research into environmental policy (within both private and public sectors), and further development of strategies and policies accordingly. With an Environmental-based first degree, and preferably related second degree, you will have upwards of 2 years experience post- graduation, and to date will have developed excellent analytical and report writing skills. Experience of EIA projects is also highly desirable. Suitable candidates will have an organised, analytical approach, yet be able to demonstrate creativity in their approach to both research work and proposal/policy developments. Any experience of designing/implementing questionnaires, focus groups and workshops would also be advantageous. The ability to interact with both multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders is required; therefore first class interpersonal skills are also essential. The position will offer the opportunity to work on an exciting range of projects within both public and private sectors, predominantly within the UK but also with the chance to participate in short term overseas work. Whilst initially the position will involve provision of support within the team’s existing projects, the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for their own projects.
