Position: Assistant Consultant, Environmental Policy/Strategy
Location: London
Salary: £neg
An outstanding opportunity has arisen within our client, a major
international multi-disciplinary consultancy, for a bright, articulate
assistant consultant to join its existing Environmental Policy/Strategy
team within London. Working within a team of 14, you will be required to
assist with the research into environmental policy (within both private
and public sectors), and further development of strategies and policies
accordingly. With an Environmental-based first degree, and preferably
related second degree, you will have upwards of 2 years experience post-
graduation, and to date will have developed excellent analytical and
report writing skills. Experience of EIA projects is also highly
desirable. Suitable candidates will have an organised, analytical
approach, yet be able to demonstrate creativity in their approach to both
research work and proposal/policy developments. Any experience of
designing/implementing questionnaires, focus groups and workshops would
also be advantageous. The ability to interact with both multidisciplinary
project teams and stakeholders is required; therefore first class
interpersonal skills are also essential.
The position will offer the opportunity to work on an exciting range of
projects within both public and private sectors, predominantly within the
UK but also with the chance to participate in short term overseas work.
Whilst initially the position will involve provision of support within the
team’s existing projects, the successful candidate will be given the
opportunity to take increasing responsibility for their own projects.
Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience, but certainly
competitive within the marketplace.
