Dear Frank The reason I mentioned 'David' was because I was addressing a specific question of his. Frank, I'm sorry if you are confused. The epicentre of the pain is indeed just lateral to the anterior crest of the tibia, but still actually 'on the bone' but there is a duller ache in the muscle as well.
