<MAPS FOR LOCAL HISTORY> is the theme of the annual conference of the
Scottish Local History Forum to be held  on Saturday 5 October 2002.

The conference has been organised in conjunction with the newly-formed
Scottish Maps Forum and the National Library of Scotland, and
concentrates on maps of Scotland before the mid-19th century, when the
Ordnance Survey first mapped Scotland.

VENUE: The Conference will be held in the Lesser Hall in Falkirk
Municipal Buildings, West Bridge Street, Falkirk, which has disabled
access and good car parking facilities.  The nearest station is
Grahamston.

FEE:  GBP14.00 (includes buffet lunch and morning tea/coffee)
