<MAPS FOR LOCAL HISTORY> is the theme of the annual conference of the Scottish Local History Forum to be held on Saturday 5 October 2002. The conference has been organised in conjunction with the newly-formed Scottish Maps Forum and the National Library of Scotland, and concentrates on maps of Scotland before the mid-19th century, when the Ordnance Survey first mapped Scotland. VENUE: The Conference will be held in the Lesser Hall in Falkirk Municipal Buildings, West Bridge Street, Falkirk, which has disabled access and good car parking facilities.
