Post A – Involvement Worker (Citywide) Ref: LIP/04
The worker will promote, develop and support the involvement of service
users and carers in the planning, commissioning and delivery of Community
Care services in Leeds.
Salary: 35 hours per week, SO1-SO2 currently £19770 per annum

Post B – Involvement Worker (Lesbian, gay and bisexual disabled People) Ref:
LIP/03
The Disabled People and Diversity Project (DPaD) is a new project aiming to
increase the involvement of Black and minority ethnic and lesbian, gay and
bisexual disabled people in the planning and development of community care
services. Disabled people are defined as people with physical or sensory
impairments, learning difficulties or mental health system users/ survivors.
Salary 17.5 hours per week (half time), SO1 currently £19770 (pro rata)
Initial contract: 3 years. This post is funded by Comic Relief.
This post is open only to disabled people who identify as lesbian, gay or
bisexual.

Both workers will be expected to have a strong commitment to equality of
opportunity and involvement of people using community care services. LIP
uses a Social Model of Disability framework and the workers would also need
to approach work in this way. Closing Date for both posts: 21st August 2002
