Due to numerous requests from applicants, the committee of the 2nd European Conference on e-Government has agreed to extend the deadline for abstract submissions until 28 June. The advisory group invites submissions of papers on both the theory and practice of all aspects of web enabling technology in the public sector. The conference in October 2002 is seeking academic papers as well as case studies from central and local government particularly to explore the practical issues involved in implementing e-government project. Topics may include, but are not limited to, e-Government portals,e-Government transaction sites,webocracy,security and confidentiality,integrated systems,citizen centric information systems,web-enabled knowledge management other ITC enabled systems in the public service sector.
