Nazarius is especially noted for the defense of his city against the Goths. ................. Dear Phyllis, the feast day of the supposed st. Nazarius of Capodistria (Slovenia, not Italy!) is on 19th of June the same date as st. Nazarius and Celsus from Milano!). The historical events about Goths (Ostrogoths!) are surely exaggerated. Your source is probably P. Naldini, Corografia ecclesiastica o' sia descrittione della citta, e della diocesi di Giustinopoli ..., in Venezia 1700, ristampa Bologna 1984. The source is important, but not waterproof.
