**Apologies for Cross Posting**

Colleagues,

The conclusion of the PN2 stage of the People's Network infrastructure strand resulted in the production of a significant body of public library networking information.

After many requests, some analysis of Acceptable Use Policies (included with most PN2s) was undertaken, and the results have now been posted on to the People's Network web site at:

http://www.peoplesnetwork.gov.uk/infra/policies.asp

The material consists of a 'Kit' to help formulate an AUP, and one example of how this might be done. Further details are available on the web site.

What is really required now is feedback on whether the material is helpful or useful to library services in creating an AUP, or modifying an existing one. This information will help to adapt or improve the work done so far, so all feedback will be gratefully received.

Please submit any feedback to me by email by the end of July. The results of this consultation exercise will be analysed by myself and colleagues from the Networked Services Policy Task Group, and then published on the PN web site.

Thanks in advance for your contributions.

Very best wishes,

David Potts
