italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies It's what I knew, but, as you always realise, what you know can be overtaken by some peculiar linguistic derivation that you'd never thought of! In fact, I have had confirmation from someone who has the original LP issue in 1976 that there it is spelled correctly as "gioielli". I have contacted BellaVoce who deny any misspelling, though since they give the composer as "Wolf-Ferrar" we can take what they say with a pinch of salt. I'm working on stage representations of mafia/camorra, so it was important to check!
