Dear Sara

Nice to hear from you. I saw your good paper with Prof. Bergrat in JSG. Hearty congratulations!

I submitted a paper to JSG wherein we calculated P-T conditions, depth of overburden etc by assuming a geothermal gradient of 35 centigrade per km for the 1000 Ma year old Proterozoic rift valley sediments. The paper has come back for revision and one of the questions that I have to answer is the justification of using this geothermal gradient.
How are Parick and family? My daughter is 15 years and son is 11 years now. No wonder I have become very old.
With best regards
Deepak

Dear All,

Could you please suggest the value of plaeo-geothermal gradient for the Proterozoic rift valley sediments (1000 Ma.) with thin layers of andesite and mafic lavas at the base?
Thanking you in anticipation,
Deepak
