The main purpose of this list being that it may be helpful to organisations who may wish to "tie in" local events to relevant European/International activities. In some cases the EU is the main initiator of these activities but mostly the impetus for these activities derives from other organisations, usually with EU acting as a partner/participant. This is particularly true of the "International Days/Weeks..." which have been usually established by the various agencies of the UN. I have attempted to provide links to individual Internet Sites providing further details but in some cases this has not been possible! This is very much a "work in progress" I would expect to be updating\adding to this list on a regular basis and place it on an Internet Site!!!!
