Disability Equality in Education provides the training for teachers and others to challenge attitudes and change practice, so disabled pupils and students can be included in schools and colleges.

Over the last 5 years we have trained 240 disabled people to deliver our training, recruited 130 of them to be freelance trainers on our DEE Trainers Network. We have delivered training to over 9000 teachers and other education workers in schools and Local Authorities in more than 80 parts of the country.

The introduction of the SEN and Disability Act 2001 creates the opportunity for the staff and governors of every educational establishment to examine their attitudes, policies, practices and procedures to begin to eliminate disability discrimination and develop inclusion.
