May I quote from a letter recently received from a fellow local
historian ::
"On a quite different matter, can you help me with the name
"Aquaperia", and what is the earliest reference you have to its use? I have
been able to trace examples back to c1920, but no earlier."
I am not familiar with this word and there appears to be no trace of it
in any of the available seach engines......it is also clear, by direct (and
crude?) translation that it is some sort of "Water Satchel".......a water
carrier........
Can anybody help me out on this word..??......or perhaps point me to
some appropriate source......
