³FIRST ANNUAL AFRICAN CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP CONVENTION, 24 & 25 APRIL 2002, SANDTON, SOUTH AFRICA

The African Institute of Corporate Citizenship is hosting the first ever African Corporate Citizenship Convention over 24 & 25 April 2002 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. The event is one of the most important African forums in the lead up to the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) providing business, government and the NGO sectors the opportunity to understand responsible business practice. The convention is an extraordinary opportunity to shape the African business agenda in line with strong international moves to integrate corporate citizenship into mainstream business practice. The convention will comprise 4 plenary sessions debating key issues viz. NEPAD, African Corporate Citizenship, African Challenges & Leadership for Tomorrow. Key speakers include Richard Holbrooke (unconfirmed), Peter Moyo, Nolitha Fakude, Manny Amadi, Mumba Kapumpa, Ishmael Yamson, David Grayson, Ezra Mbogori and Almorie Maule. The two day event will feature four sessions of four workshops, facilitated by a diverse group of experts, each covering a wide range of pertinent corporate citizenship issues.  Delegates will have a choice of one workshop per session.
