Senior Researcher £32,953 -£40,737 inclusive of £2,134 London Allowance
 Would you like to play a leading role in this new research initiative between Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Trust and King's College, University of London?  Your primary task will be to take a leadership role in developing a programme of midwifery research  which is responsive to the needs of local women, & bring your own interests to the post fitting within our overall research strategy.  You are highly motivated and will have a PhD in a relevant field or equivalent extensive research expertise at a senior level, a track record of high quality research output and experience of working with practitioners. Current registration as a midwife is desirable but not essential. 

 You will be joining a multi-disciplinary collaboration between Guy's & St Thomas's Hospital Trust (GSTT), the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, and the Academic Department of Obstetrics in GKT School of Medicine at King's College. You will be employed by the Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, & work in the Women's Health Unit at St Thomas' Hospital which is due to open in Spring 2002. The Unit will contain a midwife-led birthing unit and a high dependency unit working with midwifery group practices in the community. 

 The position is funded by the Guy's and St Thomas' Charitable Foundation and is for five years in the first instance. Salary within the Senior Research Fellow Grade III. (£32,953  - £40,737) inclusive of £2,134 London Allowance, subject to experience and expertise.
