I'm not an expert on sheep dip, but OPs - organo-phospahtes, are currently used.  I understand that another chemical was used before OPs (an arsenic or mercury compound??) whihc might be relevant in your case.  A 'google' search on sheep dip will probably help if no-one from the list can.
