Dear listfriends
I need to know if there are novels (the period concern '800 - first half of '900) that describe the death of childrens by drowning, like Nemecsek in Molnar's "The boys of Pal Street", or Ombretta in Fogazzaro's "Piccolo mondo antico". Best wishes.
Giorgio Pannunzio

        For an English analogue, see
The Mill on the Floss, by
        George Eliot (1860).
Ragazzi di Vita, by Pasolini (1955)
is perhaps too late for you.
        Both these examples have the
children's drowning at the end of
the story. There is a 1973 film by
        Nicholas Roeg, Don't Look Now,
which has a child's death by
        drowning at the beginning. It's
based on a story by Daphne Du
        Maurier.
