Job advertisment for Clinical Evidence appearing in last weeks BMJ: BMJ/Clinical Evidence Editor The BMJ Publishing Group is looking for an editor with skills in evidence based medicine to work on Clinical Evidence. This is a permanent full time appointment. Clinical Evidence is a regularly updated compendium of the best available evidence on a range of common clinical interventions. It is available on paper, CD-ROM and from the internet. Since its first publication in 1999, Clinical Evidence has rapidly established its reputation as the most up to date and comprehensive collection of clinical evidence, and is widely distributed amongst the NHS and physicians in the USA and appears in numerous translations. The editor will work with the rest of the editorial ream in the BMJ office in London. The emphasis of the work is on editing contributions from our external authors. The Editor will either be medically qualified or have background in the biomedical sciences, epidemiology, pharmacy or nursing and have a good knowledge of medical statistics, critical appraisal and evidence based medicine. Writing or editing experience would be an advantage. A skills test will form part of the selection procedure.
