The extract that M. Priestley appears to characterise as "Back to square one" was from a book written by two well-qualified and experienced Bulgarian educators, who are concerned to help reduce the barriers of fear and ignorance between children in their classrooms who may come from different ethnicity, culture or have different abilities. At least one of the writers has had some training and practice in youth work in England, and has specialised in cross-cultural understanding and sensitivity. It is possible that their life-experiences in Bulgaria during the past 40 years may have been a little different from that of M. Priestley and others who have commented. Why not make your views known to them directly at: [log in to unmask] -- they are professionals at understanding other people's differing views and attitudes, however poorly you can express yourself in Bulgarian. (Or write in English -- they will quite understand). m99m ________________End of message______________________ Archives and tools for the Disability-Research Discussion List are now located at: www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/disability-research.html You can JOIN or LEAVE the list from this web page.
