forwarded by request, please respond directly to Chris or Amanda at the
email addresses below.
******************************
We are writing to tell you about a workshop that we are organising:
Applying Problem Based Learning in Computing: potential and challenge
on 3 May 2002 at Edge Hill, Ormskirk, West Lancashire

Keynote Facilitator: Ranald Macdonald.
Problem Based Learning appears to have many benefits for
increasing the effectiveness of student learning within HE. If you
are interested in applying PBL within computing or you already use
aspects of PBL we would like you to come and share your
experiences. This workshop is organised as part of the
LTSN-ICS sponsored research project identifying best practice in the
use of PBL for the teaching of computing. We intend to publish the
workshop outcomes as part of the project and establish a network
of practitioners.
