Another option might be Plasma screens (like the new large, digital
televisions), if they can take a PC output, or output from a TV card in the PC
(haven't tried it personally!)

However, a birdie told me that such Plasma screens have a finite life of 5 years
maximum and at £5000 a throw that ain't cheap! Can anyone confirm/deny that?

A better option might be to go for the 18" monitors in concert with screen
magnifying software. Bear in mind that the customer might want some degree
of privacy: if the screen's very big then there's the risk that people
lurking about in the background could read personal details such as
addresses or credit card details.
