XRF Operator (Reference Number 8088) Applications are sought for an analyst to run the XRF facility in the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Bristol. The XRF is part of the EU Large Scale Geochemical facility in the department and as such you will be expected to provide high quality training and analyses for visitors from Europe as well as internal users. It is expected that you will be responsible for data quality as part of the departmental QAQC procedures and will be expected to develop new analytical techniques as required. A first degree in Earth Sciences is required and previous analytical experience is desirable. Excellent communication, organisation and laboratory skills are essential. This position is available for 11 months with funds being sought to extend the position beyond this period. Salary £17,451 per annum.
