CALL FOR PAPERS on APPLICATIONS OF STATISTICAL PHYSICS IN ECONOMICS AND FINANCE for the 8th International Conference of the Society for Computational Economics to be held in Aix en Provence, France, June 27, 28, 29, 2002, http://pythie.cepremap.cnrs.fr/sce2002/ During the 8th International Conference of the Society for Computational Economics sessions will be organised on the subject of APPLICATIONS OF STATISTICAL PHYSICS IN ECONOMICS AND FINANCE. Presentations are invited describing novel research results, and occasional surveys, in all aspects in the application of statistical physics methods to economic problems. These may include theoretical and empirical analysis of financial markets, power-laws in finance, firm-size dynamics, percolation models, multi-agent models, network dynamics among other subjects. The aim is to provide a forum for this research within the well- established annual meeting of a professional economics society.
