Reconstruction is currently soliciting articles, review essays, reviews,
and multimedia/hypertext projects for its Summer 2002 special issue,
"Auto/bio/geography: Considering Space and Identity."  The focus of this
issue is the various overlaps between life and its locale, the study of
which has become increasingly central to contemporary culture studies
through the works of Henri Lefebvre, Michel de Certeau, Edward Soja, and
Mike Davis (to name only a few).  Submissions must be received by June 17th
to be considered for publication on July 15th.

Reconstruction <http://www.reconstruction.ws> is an innovative culture
studies journal dedicated to fostering an intellectual community composed
of scholars and their audience, granting them all the opportunity and
ability to share thoughts and opinions on the most important and
influential work in contemporary interdisciplinary studies.

Because we are committed to maintaining a regular publishing schedule
(January, May, September), we are always accepting submissions for upcoming
issues, and can promise a prompt reply.

Submissions are encouraged from a variety of perspectives, including, but
not limited to: geography, cultural studies, folklore, architecture,
history, sociology, psychology, communications, music, political science,
semiotics, theology, art history, queer theory, literature, criminology,
urban planning, gender studies, etc. Both theoretical and empirical
approaches are welcomed.

In matters of citation, it is assumed that the proper MLA format will be
followed. Other citation formats are acceptable in respect to the
disciplinary concerns of the author.
