Dear Kristina I am a student in archaeology here in Denmark, I'am specialising in animal bones; In the mesolithic in Denmark there were burial in which some of the individuals was placed on wings of swan - I do not know yet if this is the Cygnus olor, but it is in the species list from the most of the mesolithic, hunted form the coast and river sites. i will get back to you when I found more exact info and literature - even I know a person on a museum who is specialised in birds.
