To those who knew him, I just received the word from Dr. Wietske Prummel that Prof.Dr. Günter Nobis, former Direktor of the Museum Alexander Koenig, Bonn, died in the age of 80 (* born 1-6-1921, died 8-3-2002). He was one of the classics in post-war archaeozoology in Central Europe and worked extensively on ancient domesticates, esp. horse and cattle. Laszlo Bartosiewicz
