Dear Dr Halstead, You were kind enough to tell us about a forthcoming lecture at Sheffield entitled 'Animals for the Arena: The Roman Wild Beast Trade'. For those people who cannot attend, do you know if the speaker, Prof Wilson, will have a written version of his lecture, which perhaps he would be prepared to send to persons with an interest in this subject? One reason I ask is that we (or rather a former student of yours, Jane Liddle) will shortly be working on the animal bones found within the Roman amphitheatre excavations in London.
