Dear Colleague,

We wish to alert you to the forthcoming Third Annual International
Conference on the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL). The first
two conferences, formerly known as the Annual UK & USA Conference on the
Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL), held in London have proved to
be highly successful events. They have attracted scholars researching
their teaching from many disciplines and from several countries. We are
pleased that we already have many expressions of interest from US
Carnegie Scholars who are planning to attend the event next June.

Distinctive features of the conference:
· Contributions from teaching scholars

· Leading figures from the SoTL movement in the US and UK will
feature on panels, including:

Gene Rice, Director Faculty Roles and Rewards Forum, Senior Scholar,
AAHE
Liz Beaty, Director (Learning and Teaching), Higher Education Funding
Council for England
Richard Blackwell, Senior Advisor, Generic Centre (UK)
Dan Bernstein, Director of Center for Teaching and Learning, University
of Kansas

· Opportunities to dialogue with US Carnegie Scholars and UK
National Teaching Fellows

· Papers, Works in Progress, Project Reports, and Workshops
demonstrating the scholarship of teaching and learning

We hope to welcome back those who attended previous events and others
for whom this will be their first London SoTL conference.
