Two new publications from Edinburgh College of Art

We are delighted to inform you of two new publications recently produced by
the Faculty of Art & Design - 'The High Line' by Kenneth White, and
'twoninetwo: essays in visual culture' (#3)

This artists' book is the result of a Fellowship by distinguished Scottish
poet Kenneth White (ex-Sorbonne University). Content includes a new extended
essay by White concerning the travels in France of writer Robert Louis
Stevenson, in the context of White's expansive concept called 'geopoetics'.
This essay is interspersed with visual responses by seven artists (all staff
or students of eca) - Gordon Brennan, Peter Pretsell, Nicholas Newton,
Hannah Mulder, Ettie Spencer, Mike Docherty and Graham Flack. Many of the
artists are nationally recognised, exhibiting abroad regularly.

The third issue of 'twoninetwo' is on the theme of Beauty. The extended
essays and original artworks include new writings by Brandon Taylor
(Winchester School of Art), Peter Suchin and distinguished Swiss architect
Peter Zumthor. New artworks have been commissioned from John Stezaker (Royal
College of Art) and Graham Fagen (Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art)
among others.
