Spatial frameworks for Scotland's past

National Library of Scotland
Wednesday 11 September 2002
10 am - 4 pm

Refreshments and lunch provided (no charge)

This meeting aims to bring together a community with shared interests
in the historical boundaries and place names of Scotland before 1974.
We will discuss ongoing projects, the availability of GIS datasets,
gazetteers and place name collections, in order to ensure all
interested parties are included and promote collaboration in the
construction of publicly-available historical datasets.

A range of projects will be show-cased, but the organisers are
enthusiastic to
ensure that all current and proposed initaitives across the academic,
public
and private sectors are involved.

The meeting is organised jointly by AGI Scotland, the Great Britain
Historical GIS
Project and the National Library of Scotland.
