BIG FABRICATORS WEEK 2002
The World's foremost hands-on exhibit building event for science centres, children's museums and hands on places of all kinds

 SNIBSTON DISCOVERY PARK, COALVILLE, LEICESTERSHIRE

14-18 OCTOBER 2002

With Open Day and Seminar 18 October

DELIVERING DIALOGUE

Creating Successful Dialogue Exhibits and Activities

Want to learn how to build hands-on exhibits? Got an idea for an exhibit you've never had the opportunity to try out? Dying to try your hand at exhibit prototyping? Want to explore a new idea in exhibit building? Taking place in a friendly environment in a fully equipped workshop, Fabricators will give you the chance to actually make exhibits rather than just talk about it or watch others.

No great skill is needed, just enthusiasm and curiosity. Fabricators is usually a cheerful mix of experienced exhibit builders, newcomers (often without technical backgrounds) and hands-on people who don't usually get near a workshop, all working together and sharing skills, ideas and experience to come up with new exhibits - blue sky research for the hands-on world.

Taking place in the workshop at Snibston Discovery Park in Coalville, this year's Fabricators will also include a visit to the National Space Centre. Cheap accommodation is available nearby.

There will also be a final open day when non-participants can come and view the fruits of the week's work and take part in the Exhibit Development Seminar

Numbers for Fabricators Week itself are limited to 14, so book now to ensure a place! There is no limit to the numbers for the open day and seminar.
