Dear all

For anyone who might be in the East Midlands area or would like to venture our way - here are details of the next sciBAr:

Farm to Fork in the 21st century - lessons learnt from foot and mouth

Following the devastating effects of foot and mouth on UK farmers last year, do we rely on local produce or the global marketplace?

Pat Stanley, a representative from the National Farmers Union and a hands-on farmer, will lead an informal discussion on the issues surrounding local versus international markets over a few drinks at the next sciBAr in the East Midlands.

Organised by the BA, sciBAr is open to anyone, there are no invitations and the evening is free except for what you spend on drink or food. Air your views or just listen to others, it's your regular pub debate just on a larger scale.

sciBAr, 8 pm Tuesday June 18th, The Falcon Hotel, Market Place, Uppingham, Rutland.

Hope to see you there

Beckie
