AS for "lowing."  As I explained to Martin and as he noted: I use it a bit surrealistically so that the idea of "lowering" is behind the blurry notion of "lowing" where the skies are bellowing -- not like a cow but in a kind of triumphant thunder storm.  Perhaps it's all too much but still ....
