Silly me. I forgot the greatest loss. A half-page obituary in the Times. I couldnt find a Guardian with it in it. Ian Hamilton from Darlington Grammar School. Four years in front of me. His father was a seacaptain and they lived off Woodland Road. (I went to Grangefield in Stockton). Once Ian went to Oxford I dont think he ever went back to Darlington.
