It's terrible to read about this, and so 'we live in a sick culture' takes
on much greater weight, & most of us, here or there, can do little to
prevent those who supposedly 'represent' us from continuing to (ab) use
their power to do such things, in our name, & in the name of our safety!
(That's certainly one of the reasons, I bet, eh Alison?)
